Description

The offered theatre relic hails from an era during which we had to “go out” for stage and screen entertainment. There to greet theatre goers in the lobby, this 1950s Art Deco-style wooden usher supplied patrons with theatrical programs/publications the likes of Playbill. Standing just over 36”-tall, the colorful structure features claw-like hands to facilitate insertion of a tray from which customers could take programs. The usher itself is all-original, though it appears that “Paramount” logos were added to the shoulders, and the wooden base has been re-painted.
