The reincarnation of the “new” Washington Senators, the Texas Rangers joined the American League West in 1972 and have since gone on to back-to-back Junior Circuit flags. The offered jacket was worn by a Rangers player during the team’s early years. The blue satin-like button-down garment features “Rangers” arched across the chest in white-on-red double twill. The font and “shadow” style characters date the jacket to 1972-1982. Red-white-and-blue striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the collar, sleeve endings and waistline and a right-side interior pocket features a “Medalist” label denoting size “48.” All original and unaltered, the jacket features (2) front pockets and shows light wear.
