Issued at Washington’s Griffith Stadium on December 7, 1941, this game day football program from the Redskins vs. Eagles regular season finale is subtitled “Georgetown Day.” Of course, events in Hawaii that morning prompted President Franklin Roosevelt to dub it “a date which will live in infamy.” The 52-page guide features black-and-white photos depicting that day’s combatants. Having won five of its first six games that year, the ‘Skins were felled by a four-game losing streak, making this day’s 20-14 triumph all but meaningless. The front cover shows moderate wear with period notations. The pages, meanwhile, are decidedly crisp and intact.
