The heated “cold war” basketball rivalry between the United States and USSR reached a boiling point following the controversial finish at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. The squads rekindled their rivalry the following year by playing a series of exhibition contests throughout the United States. Presented is a dated 5/9/73 USA vs. USSR program signed by twelve members of the American squad on the cover. The black endorsements average (“8-9”) and are highlighted by Cousy (head coach), Elmore and B. Jones. Full photo LOA from JSA. More on our website.

The scorecard is unmarked and the publication presents (EX-MT);

Included are signatures of Barnes, Behagen, Cousy, DiGregorio, Elmore, Henderson, B. Jones, Karl, Mathias (former U.S. Olympic Decathlete), Nater, Oxley, Saunders;

Also present are seven program inserts including player sketches, roster sheets and statistical pages.
