Description

Brandished in American League ballparks during the 1980-1983 labeling period, this Louisville Slugger “K48” (34.1-oz/35”) Carl Yastrzemski signature model bat was ordered by the Boston Red Sox and quite possibly used by Yaz. The uncracked ash weapon shows excellent use with ball, bat-rack and stitch marks throughout and checking about the barrel. Yastrzemski’s since-retired number “8” is written on the knob in black marker. Full photo LOA from John Taube, PSA/DNA. More on our website.

A review of Carl Yastrzemski’s ordering record reveals that during the referenced labeling period, he did not receive any K48 models of this weight and length. However, the K48 model is a common pro stock model that was team ordered by the Red Sox
